Strike It Up
"Strike It Up" is a 1990 song recorded by the Italo house music band Black Box from 1990. It was the sixth single from their debut album Dreamland and was released in 1991 in most of countries worldwide.
The song was a success on many charts, including the Billboard Hot 100 in the US where it peaked at #8. It also topped the Hot Dance Club Play in June 1991. In the UK it peaked at #16 on the UK Singles Chart.[1] It still remains a staple of the home of the Green Bay Packers, Lambeau Field.
The song features an un-credited Martha Wash on lead vocals. Wash later sued the record label for royalties and directly contributed to legislation ensuring proper credit for vocalists on both songs and music videos.
This song is featured on the NHL 11 Soundtrack.
